[resolved] FFB2 always under tension

Post by cro » Mon Sep 25, 2017 3:24 pm

Under P3DV4 the joystick is still on, I do not think it's good, long term.
By modifying your software, would it be possible, through FS-FORCES, to disconnect the FFB2 ??
I am very satisfied with your software.
P.S. sorry for my english.

Do you mean that the centering force is at 100% all the time? Please try to explain what is going wrong in more detail.

When the PC is switched on, the joystick is locked, the centering forces is at 100%.
As soon as P3DV4 open the joystick take the selected profile. And blocked again when closing P3DV4.
I hope it's clear, in my bad English.

Edit:
I just made a flight, and at the stop on P3D, the joystick is not powered ?????
I do not understand anything anymore

Re Edit:
If i stop the PC, and restart him, it's same, joystick under tension.
After start and stop P3DV4, free joystick.

If you want i have simconnect.log

For the most part, what you are seeing is normal behaviour. The only time that FS Force has any control over the joystick is when FS Force is running, and FS Force only runs when P3D runs. When you exit P3D, FS Force no longer has any control, and it is completely up to Windows and the joystick driver as to what will happen with the joystick.

That being said, the MSFF2 has a sensor to detect the presence of your hand. When you remove your hand, the joystick should go completely limp. Maybe that sensor is no longer working on your joystick. The sensor is located on the front of the handle, right underneath where your pinky finger would be. Try blowing on it with some compressed air or something. Maybe you can fix it.
