Ground Forces questions...

Post by crazysundog » Tue Jan 26, 2010 12:39 am

First off, thanks for the great piece of software!!

I am using a MSFFB 2, running FSX:A, and primarily fly the Dodosim 206.

I have all my forces working the way I would like them to, but cannot seem to get the Ground Ops forces to occur. This is not limited to the helicopters; the forces do not happen in any AC, be they jets or props, default or 3rd party.

I have checked the FSX forces are turned OFF.
I have created a new profile, based on the helicopter profile and edited to suit.
I have created a new Ground Ops .txt file, based on the basic, and edited but could not get feedback.

*[Vibs RunUp]
ID=Vibration
Waveform=Sine
BeginPeriod=90
EndPeriod=100
BeginDirection=90
EndDirection=130
BeginMagnitude=17
EndMagnitude=20
RampUp=30
RampDown=50
SpeedStart=0
SpeedEnd=50
GroundPhase=P*

I would like to have a small vibration in my stick when the engines are running, and the bird is on the ground.....and would like the vibration to turn OFF when I lift off the ground...Can you help??

Sorry, but FS Force has very limited support for helicopters. As far as general ground ops, make sure you are using the default ones that come with the program, and then verify you are getting "pavement groove" bumps when you taxi, and full throttle vibrations with heavys. Once you've got the default ground ops working, then start from there and play around with editing your own.

Yes, the pavement groove bumps work...sorry i didn't specify that.
You mention full throttle vibrations with heavy's, are they the only AC that have full throttle vibrations??

Thanks for the quick reply!

First check the profile, under Ground Ops. If it uses either "Complex vibs" or "Run-up vibs", that means it will give full throttle vibrations. Then check to see which aircraft uses that profile.
