Stick force changes when pitot ices up

Post by stewi2 » Thu Feb 01, 2007 7:26 am

I was just flying around in the FSX Caravan using FS Force 2. When the pitot iced up causing the IAS to drop to 0, the stick slammed forward, as if the control forces had stopped. As soon as I turned on pitot heat and the speed indicator started working again, the stick returned to what I had trimmed it to before.

It's as if the force was linked to indicated airspeed rather than true airspeed.

Thanks for the report. I'm working on a service release right now, so hopefully I can add in the required code change.

I've just posted version 2.02, which addresses this issue, and others. Click here for the full announcement.
